Happy Days

Well the reports of the Easter weekend washout were definately exagerated and so, on such a beautiful spring day, 58A-71E and I went orf for a game of catch the 911.

Rules are simple, James, his good lady wife Tracey and William, son and heir, set off at a pace... and Hayley and I give them no head start at all and spend the rest of the afternoon trying to keep up.

Now my weaknesses are blind summits, blind dips, corners and straights.

James is unaffected by any of the above. It`s an education.

And Hayley doesn`t help.. The faster James drives, the faster I drive, the more she whoops and hollers. I blame it on this new dizzy I fitted, it`s made my car so bl**din fast, I`m seriously considering pulling a couple of plugs to calm things down a bit.

All in all a rather wonderful day, here`s a clip, the blue spec, way out in front is james. :)

It was a lot faster than it looks. :P

nice to see you sampling some proper roads 8) Sorry I couldn't make it, but my Nephews really enjoyed their trip in the Porsche to Croft for the speed championships 8) .... they went home telling their mother how fast the Porsche was  ... almost got me in trouble with my sister !

Just been out again by myself in the Porsche now all the tourists have gone & the roads are clear ...apart from a weird flat spot at exactly 6000rpm the car is running well.

Mmm, that doesn`t sound good. Not so bad having a flat spot at 3000 revs but 6000, just where you need it... Is that another MFI pump glitch ?

its only there between 6000rpm & 6050ish rpm , then it goes like a scolded cat again ... its not a problem as such, its just I like these things to be spot on. Fitted a new CDI box today & that made no difference ... the only thing that has changed is the MFI pump went back to get the stickiness sorted .. Fred reckoned he left all the settings as they were, but I think another trip to Bob's might be in order

BTW, your car is sounding great in that video 8)
