A petition has been submitted to number 10 in an effort to get the government to take action in allowing activities that generate noise, such as motorsport, to continue to do so providing that they have been present in a community for a longer period of time than the residents who complain about them.

Please sign the peition by following this link: http://petitions.PM.gov.UK/livewithit/

It is unlikely that this will make any difference but definitely worth a try. Forward this email on to all of your contacts and we will see if we can make a difference.

Done :)
They built some new houses at Kirkby Mallory, next to Mallory park. The new residents had the cheek to complain about the noise !!
At least the residents near Bruntingthorpe who complained about the car noise have the Vulcan Bomber to contend with now :)

It has my vote. Clever too, starting off with church bells so the broadest spectrum of people will become involved.

Will it do any good? I guess worst case is that it can't do any harm.......

Signed. We moved under the Heathrow flight path in West London. Annoying, but it's choice we made at the time. No point bitching about it now!

this is like the story I heard of some 'townies' who moved into a village. In the centre of the village ( a couple of doors down) was the a dairy farm.

They then complaigned about the cows 'moo-ing' at 5 am when milking was starting  .

The guys at Thruxton circuit in andover have it sorted as local residents get free tickets to all events throughout the year, suprisingly not many complain about the noise!!!
