I did once see something similar on a Renault 5 at Pilsworth cinema in Bury. Pre smart phone unfortunately.
They had created air scoops on the lower rear quarters and finished it with chicken wire mesh and what looked like plaster of Paris.
Still front engined though?

Headlights and wheels were the only visible signs I could spot.
I’m presuming the duvet on the dashboard was left there by the small boy the owner sent in to clean the windscreen
