Thought I'd post this up here as I have 2 days to find someone!
Just in case anyone going to Culzean (Aug 23/24th) fancies joining me in the 356 as a navigator for the test-type stages (on the grounds and at nearby airfield/ex race track) on the saturday and sunday. There is also a short night navigation stage. Cost? - half of the £58 entry (so £29) which includes entry to the event itself. I'll cover the fuel and wear and tear!
No experience necessary - I dont have much either..
Thread in future events here
Have been really looking forward to this so pretty disappointed. Not having much luck with volunteers so far - they must have heard about my driving..
Need a navigator for classic rally at Culzean Autoclassica!

Johnny
I am sure Brendan, James, or Ian who will all be there would possibly love to do this. If they don't I will volunteer as first reserve. I have the advantage(?) of knowing the Turnberry airstrip intimately as it is where both my daughters had their first drives. You know what it's like up and back up and back all night occasionally getting into third!
Let me know if no one else steps up..............be warned though I have never done anything like this before whereas Brendan has mega-experience
Regards
Mike

yep, sounds about right for these tests!210bhp wrote:occasionally getting into third!
Sounds promising Mike, thanks! Could even go with different folks on different days if it risks taking up too much time..
As I'm talking to a local, is there anywhere good to camp nearby? Oh yes, and how smooth is Turnberry?

Lots of camping on the site itself (bookable through the organisers) and if full let me know I can get you an alternative.Burma-Shave wrote:yep, sounds about right for these tests!210bhp wrote:occasionally getting into third!

Turnberry is a WW1 and WW2 airfield and it is rough in places. There is a small section more recently tarmaced but I doubt you will stay on that completely.
