First impressions:-

Very shiny!

The horn grills should be chrome, the interior seats/door trims are wrong. The gear lever mechanism is the later type.
The engine number is from a 2.2 E engine which I think explains the yellow cover.
The engine cover doesn’t line up with the wing on the O/S I would investigate why.

I am sure the experts will give you a lot more comments and probably correct me..

I am reading the engine number as
6211762

This makes it a 71 E engine (2.2) which should have a green shroud. The engine shroud is yellow, correct for a US supplied 2.4 T.

The car does have lots of 'mixed' parts from different years.

Looks like one to check out very carefully.

im thinking of looking at the car

what sort of things should i be especially aware of, i know most of the common things to 912s but what should i be wary of with this 911

are there any other bits on it that are not original as 911s are all new to me

any help would be appreciated

I inquired about this car about 6 weeks ago and there seemed to be no other information available until it reached the UK.
I would be interested to find out what it is like in the flesh if anybody is going to have a look!

i found out that the original paint code was 3259-1
it has about 8 years of recipts nothing prior
mileage 41677 so been round the clock then?
carrera chain tensioner
the engine is a 71e engine
tax exempt
come with 12months mot
missing trim on the rear pop out windows
more modern interior

ill have a look im also viewing a silver 72t 2.4 that has had a big bore kit on it to 2.8

and a 71 2.2e in silver all three car are in bristol

No info on the car - but I 'think' this guy is retailing cars in the UK from www.westcoastautosport.com in the US? I had a chat with the owner of the company when in California in April this year. He said that someone in Bristol was retailing cars for him and would be starting to hold cars in stock in the UK rather than just acting as an agent etc....

Not sure if that is good or bad, just thought i'd share. Might be worth comparing the in UK asking price with the US prices on the site though?

wow check those prices in San Fran I think some ones been on the sauce!!

knowing what the cars go for there. and these prices make me wounder just how many cars they need to sell a month to stay afloat.. er like one!!!

my first impression was that it looks lovely in black.

for a car to look good in black, its got to be spot on otherwise it can look like its covered with old fashioned dust bin bags.

Thing i also know is that cars can look truly amazing in pictures and be nothing like it in the flesh.
