DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Thanks to Nick (Tanick) for a superb day at the Broomhills Shooting Ground.
It proved to be great fun and great camaradarie. From the bacon butties, to the banter and the Berreta's, superb throughout.
Congratulations to Mike for deservedly taking the bubbly (and especially as he'd never shot before ).
In fairness Tanick was top scorer but as the organiser we disqualified him.
Special merit also to Chris who just couldn't miss the bunny rabbits (not real ones).
A good turn out: Nick (Tanick), Nick Moss, Mike, Eddie, Graham, Lewis, Chris & Paul (me).
Plenty of Porsches made it too.

Yeah, it was good. I was really impressed by the way all you who'd 'never shot before' picked it up. Mike getting a straight 10 on the first stand was impressive and he didn't get phased when Paul was egging me on to accidentally give him the fast high birds rather than the easier ones. Good fun, shame there wasn't more crossover between the two teams.

I don't know who took the scorecards in the end but if anyone's got them can they post them up or PM them to me.

You're being modest Paul, you shot very well and Mike only beat you by one hit!

Just posted a reply on the original Southern Shoot thread before I saw this one.
I'd like to add my thanks for a well organised and fun event, especially with such great weather and good company. Sorry I did not have a chance to say thanks before I left but I enjoyed watching the Chelski v Spurs game as well!

I passed these boys on the way to the shoot.
They were marshalled at the filling station just down the road.
Apparently they were off on approx 130 mile jaunt including special stages around the hills and valleys nearby.
They invited me along.
I guess I could have lowered my tyre pressures and joined in but I think a taller ride height was called for. I bet they arrived home a bit dirtier too.

Nick, I've got the scorecards. Found 'em in my back pocket.
Mike did indeed get 10 out of 10 on 'grouse'.
My ten was on 'partridge' but I'm hopeless with 'pigeons' (just 2!).
And don't be too coy yourself. You ended with an impressive 43 hits (out of sixty).

Ill add my thanks too, top day, didn't hit to many but made my day when Paul (not ferry man) our instructor said he would show us how it is done and missed five out of five but then hit five out of five with a borrowed Winchester.

Actually the 911 does quite well at car trials, year, could do with a bit of suspension ride height adjustment though.
Ive seen the MGB in the background of this shot in action. It is essentially a type 4 With a MG B body !
