Right folks: I think from the above we can say that we are pleased to say that DDK will be supporting Macmillan once again this year.
Thanks for your interest. Hopefully there will be various oportunities as the year progresses. Please feel free to use me as a point of contact if you've any ideas .

Time for an update:
The sheetmetal days have so far raised 628 pounds (with a second batch to come in the Autumn, hopefully). Mike Bainbridge's engine day raised a further eighty pounds for Macmillan, which has been forwarded to me, and onto the charity. I am dealing with my local office (Brighton) and have a contact there (Jane Eaton).
I have also just received another donation of forty pounds as a result of assistance given between club members (fantastic stuff), which again will be winging its way down to Brighton, again, they'll send me a reciept. When I've got this, I'll copy all of the receipts, and put them on this thread so they can be viewed.
I do have a Paypal account, which I'm hppy to have donations fowarded to, and I've been gift-aiding these as I've gone. I also have all of the details of our local branch here, should anyone want to make a direct donation. Of course any branch will be more than happy to take these, but it's easier to keep a track on things from my end if they go to the same office.
Perhaps I could ask that should anyone make a direct donation as a result of DDK activity of some sort, that they might let me know, so we can keep track of what our total is running at? Obviously these can be named, or kept anonymous.
Think that's it, other than to say that it occured to me that at the year-end for this, perhaps I could ask for another DDK regular to run through the donations, paperwork and reciepts just to verify all is in order?
All for now, watch this space .
Sheetmetal days 628
Mike Bainbridge Engine Day 80
Individual donation 40
Please note, there is 28% to be added to these figures, as so far at least, all of the donations have been gift-aided one way or another .

Forgot to say, I have the letters from Macmillan to confirm all but the last three donations, and will make sure that there are some sort of 'accounts' for double checking as the year progresses.
Near the end of the year, I'll ask for someone to verify everything for future reference.

Seeing this thread active made me think to remind everyone that, of the discs sold, 20% of the
sale price of the DDK Le Mans Classic DVDs has gone to Macmillan too.
Have to say we have been a bit disappointed by sale figures - sales so far are just 30 discs
In terms of money raised for Macmillan, that's just £90!
So come on all, if you don't have one of the DVDs yet, put your hands in your pockets!
If you were at LM Classic, the DVD will be a souvenir to treasure for years to come...
If you were not there, how better to see what all the fuss is about!
Here's the thread with all the details:
http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... ht=#102499
We still have over 100 discs left for sale, so here's the charitably minded new deal...
Discs now for sale at reduced price of £10 + P&P, with the Macmillan donation doubled to 40%.
PM me to order, or see me at Silverstone next weekend

Hi all, just wanted to bring this back into focus.
The next Sheet-Metal weekend (now back to two days) is fully booked, and there's been another separate donation, which I'll add to the above figures when the cheque arrives. I'm also very pleased to hint at a forthcoming auction that may be of interest to 911 owners looking to deal with those de-laminated, soggy footboards: update soon . So, one way or another, it looks as though we are set to swell our donation total a little further over the next month or so.
Finally, I don't know if anyone was tuned into Radio II today, but the work of Macmillan got a nice mention. It was a timely reminder of the value of their work, and the fact that our donations really do make a real difference to people like us and our families.
Thanks for your help so far this year (and last), hopefully we can find a few more reasons to support Macmillan further as the end of the year falls into sight.
Best wishes,
Barry

Belated update:
I've updated the above results lists as to where we are, including another couple of donations and the second sheetmetal weekend final result.
** One thing, I'm afraid that I've mislaid the details of one donation of £30 made sometime in late June, July or early August ( ). I know it's gone onto Macmillan, because it's included in one of their receipts, and it's not come out of my account, so it must have been a direct cheque that I've forwarded on. Therefore the charity have received the money, and we've had the conformation of this, I just can't credit the person on our own records. So if you sent me a cheque for £30 in the summer, and it's not recorded in the above listing, let me know, and accept my apologies in advance .
I suppose, on a brighter note, that means our above total needs £30 adding to it . I'll do that now .... done it!
I'm about to start an auction for the 911 footboards kindly donated by Ron Vincent. These all cover early models except LHD Targa (so far, I'm sure Ron has plans for these also). They are excellent quality, and probably more sturdy than the originals. Anyway, when I start it (probably mid-this week), I'll link it from here, 911 and parts.
All for now, I think, other than to thank everyone for their support so far this year. When we get right to the end of the year I'll get a second party to look through the records and receipts and ask them to report back here separately .
