Welcome Adam, picture a bit small but what are your plans?

Thanks Brendan, the plan at the moment is "Drive Drive and Drive" but the current issue is to get the car MOT'ed since I am still on German plates, so I need to source rear lenses before I can do anything, do you have any ideas as to where I can get them as I have tried design911, but they are out of stock

Nice looking car. Have you tried getting an MOT yet? Its is amazing how flexible the MOT guys can be??

Thanks for the contact I spoke to Russell, nice guy and very helpful I did get the part from him at good price and finally I took the car for an MOT, but unfortunatly she failed on a few things which I need to sort out. The saga continues. I now understand a little the highs and lows of classic 911 ownership.

I have to say this isn't really the best part of the year for classic ownership anyway, so sorting out MOT stuff as well isn't very cheery.

Don't worry too much though, at least you'll be well organised for the start of the season when the sun comes out . We've all been there at some time or other: going to the MOT station expecting a certificate, and fnding out that the next few weekends have just been taken care of .

Just think how great it will be when you're all sorted and can drive it 'officially' .

Thanks for the vote of support, well to start with I found that I dont have a washer bottle and the associated motor (I know this sound stupid but when I got the car I did not check it rose tinted glasses), but I am learning real quick, other issues are the side light don't work but this has been disconnected since this was a german car, the only work that I will need some help with is the small amount of welding to the sill on the LHS no big issue since their are only about 4 in long holes I hope....Finaly the horn does not work, but at least it is there .
So tomorrow I will try to get the lights and horn working...oh and I need to source the washer fluid bottle and motor.
I have one question I was checking for the washer fluid bottle and trying to trace back from the nozzles but it seem that the tubes go into the dash panel so "silly question time" is it possible that all those item are behind I mean I would expect to have some noise from the motor when you try the nozzles but this did not happen.
But it is as you said it will cool once she is all sorted

The washer bottle is (should be) right at the front of the car on the nearside close to the left hand (when viewed from the driver's seat) battery.

The neck of the (plasic) washer 'bottle' protrudes through a hole in the latch panel.

The motor attaches to the outside of the washer bottle.

Thanks I am now confident that I don't have a washer bottle and pump.. but this just a minor setback. Is the picture take from one of your cars because that looks very tidy.
