Decided last night (after looking at the weather forecast) to go and watch a couple of stages of the RAC (Roger Albert Clarke) rally and I took the Porsche. Well it was obvious from the start that salt had been put down last night but I thought what the hell....then on the way over Beattock summit on the M74 the car started to lose power, I limped off the motorway at Beattock and when I took a look there was ice formed around large parts of both carb banks  I waited for over 1/2 hour for the sun to come up and defrost me and the car. Got her started and drove 2-3 miles in forest tracks to get to the stage. Had a great, if cold and wet day and other than the frozen carbs my Honey was fantastic 8) And getting to see the Lancia Stratos on a rally stage for the first time in 30 years made the day just FANTASTIC.

And here is a couple of picture from the day ....

Looks like Lepley's Prepfab Porsche usually driven by Jimmy McRae on the Armajaro series. (He should have been in the next car...the Prepfab prepared Escort entered by Stobart.)

Hope you gave her a good blast under the arches when you got back :thumbright:
