914 non starter...
Hopefully this will be embarrassingly easy to fix but it is causing me some head scratching maybe someone can help…
1970 1.7 fuel injected basically stock 914. Turn the key, it used to make a small sort of buzz like maybe priming a fuel pump or something… its sat for maybe a month, turn the key today, no buzz, hence (probably) no start…
Turns over ok but doesn’t fire.
Hummm…

Check all the easy stuff first!
Do you have fuel in the tank
Is the Battery in good order
Does the starter motor turn the engine over
Check fuses for fuel pump, etc
Check earth to fuel pump
Remove a fuel line top side (engine side) of the filter and fuel pump, turn ignition on and see if fuel is present
Then move onto electrical stuff,
If you've got a spare spark plug, remove on of the HT lead and attach it to the spare plug, then earth it on the engine somewhere and see if there's a spark. IF YOU DO THIS MAKE SURE THAT YOU'VE CONNECTED THE FUEL LINE BACK AND THERE'S NO FUEL SPILLAGE!!
I'm running out of ideas now, so I'll shut up
