912 Factory workshop manual
Does anyone know where you can get hold of one of these? I'd prefer to have one before I start putting my engine back together, and before I go near the gearbox.
Thanks
Thanks

I hadn't seen that site before - thanks, although the manual is not as in depth as the one I've got.
That would be great Mark. I've got two 912 manuals and the Duane Spencer book, but the actual factory workshop manual seems rather elusive. Do you have this? I think it comes in a set of ring bound volumes.
I've got some original Porsche Mahle pistons and barrels (sorry ) and I'm working on getting some solexes.
Since the engines out, it makes sense to get the gearbox sorted too I think. I'll probably defer to an expert on this though - the pictures in the manual look quite scary.

I've taken the gearbox in. It's Solent Gearbox and Axles, Hamerton Garage. Hedge End actually. I was wrong about the price - it's £120 plus parts!! The guy had the confident air of someone who's been taking gearboxes apart for 30 years and he said he's done a few 901 tranaxles (either very quickly or for zero profit). Fingers crossed!
Mark - I'll get in touch this weekend. I've started cleaning up the heads - very very coked up.
