Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
Sory, but this "real" outcast did not design the badge, Marco Brandsema did that. It is copyrighted and the 356 speedsterclub is the owner. Mr "Outcast" is still active member to the 356speedsterclub.nl and to the facebook page of wide5outcasts. So we did not kick him out or whatever.
He was a moderator member for the outcast movement in our club but did not do anything for it. So after remembering him it takes effort to make movement he was gone....
An yes we are going to produce these badges ...when we have enough members to the group to sell the complete first production.
Every wide 5 Porsche lover go to facebook and search for: wide5 outcasts.

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
I rest my case...
I will not polute your topic anymore!
By the way: I like the badge you've made. It looks really great!
P.s. Because I'm not capable to use Photoshop or any other design program, I used scissors, glue and a copier to design the badge. The mentioned Marco is a very kind and creative guy who made a digital version of the logo and yes I (or rather we) gave the copyright to the Dutch Speedsterclub.
I couldn't care less, so I will 1) will not polute your topic with this nonsense anymore (you're building a great car and this is poluting your topic unnecesseraly) and 2) I will not react to any reaction from anybody that is not topic related.

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
I cut them out of original beetle swingaxle torsionplates just to be sure I have the correct steelquality for them...
Got some hour in the garage today so now the enginebay starts to look like it should be.... Still just spotwelded the sheets together.
Good thing as I never throw away anything so I found the frame around the engine that I cut out of the crewcab about 7 years ago.... used that and then bent some fresh sheetmetal that I then welded around it..

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
Enginebay sheetmetal fully welded and ready to be fitted to the frame..

Also decided to cut up and modify the new repro tachometer as it have incorrect chromering and too large diameter compared to original speedometer... I had an old universal VDO tacho for Diesels with correct diameter and chromering to adapt the 356 repro tach into...

Great effort!
I have used thos repro gauges too and they -indeed- are significantly larger than the original VDO gauges.
You do some very creative things! I like it...

Re: Pre-A Outlaw replica.
Thanks. :D
Been slow the past months.. In weekdays I only manage to squeez in max. 1 hour of garagetime between work and picking up the junior from daycare....
Yesterday I hammerformed the flange that will meet the firewall.

Hopefully I get time to weld the firewall and all the sheetmetal to the frame this weekend so I can start working on the frontend and upper mounts for the Mcpherson struts...
