Oh gawd here we go

that's right Tim there's not much there, just 4 wires from the WUR, 4 from AAR, and another two to a thermo valve thingy (this one was not connected but live and is prime suspect) it's all of these ones that have been cooked to bits. none of the cdi/starter/alternator wires have been touched but i'll replace them as a precaution.

S*** happens, seems to be a lot to me though lately

Yes, the Polo red SWB is a '66 and the RHD Signal Orange 72 T (E engine) next to mine belongs to a friend of mine, Eddie Day, who lives in Leatherhead so I will try and get him along more often.

what can I say, must have been the sheer excitement of actually having the badge and trying to fit it with shaking hands still no fear it is now in its rightfull place for all to see. thanks for the compliments makes all the hard work worthwhile and great o put faces to so many names, great night.

Thanks Viv and everyone for making the Northern interloper feel so welcome although I must admit that just 4 hours sleep at the building site did leave me a tad tired - thanks Pater anyway.

Good to meet some new faces and of course to see all the others too - top marks to Bert for going back to Nottingham at 01:30 - heavens knows what time he must have got home!

Thanks to the usual suspects at the fairmile and Viv in particular for organising: once again a highly enjoyable evening. It was great to meet some new faces as well.

When I arrived I did consider passing via the jetwash to clean the gunk off my car, but that thought lasted about .5 seconds. My car turned out the dirtiest of the whole fairmile assembly. When people actually looked at her, I had to ask whether someone paid them to do so.

A well'ard core of DDK had a curry in surby: not bad at all but perhaps next time I have to go easy on the Mateus: blooming Chateau Migraine more like... One thing tho: regarding KS's secret project: "viv knows"
