Yes, Raj owned 911R #20 & it previously spent many years as part of the Matsuda Collection in Japan (when it was Silver) ...

Great stuff, interesting rear bumper setup, obviously predates impact bumpers but seems to be a DIY cross over?

...it was specially fabricated along with the other modifications. I like it but don't think Jon's a fan!

Think I'm with Jon on that one, but it is unique to the car.

One of the unusual things about this particular project is being able to have contact with the people involved in the work carried out to the car in period.

The owner and I have been in contact with Richard Reventlow (he now lives in Florida) and in turn Richard has been in contact with Peter Miles to forward on various questions we had. Now it's all a long time ago so limited info is written down but great to have access to the memories and a few period photos.

Some paperwork does exist though.

I imagine $12 an hour was quite expensive in 1974...

Is that an air scoop / duct on the rear engine lid Jon? I've never seen one of those before, presumably for hotter climates?

Not sure it was for hotter climates. Perhaps the idea was to drive air into the intakes to compensate for the thinner air up in the Rockies?
