Re: '68 912
I've always liked through the horn grill fog lights on a 911 . I know you can get repro ones but the cost is prohibitive at the moment . So in true cheapskate fashion I ordered up a kit for a Mini One that included the brackets and wiring etc . The size looked to be about right and I figured I could probably butcher the brackets to make them work .
Excuse the crappy phone pics.
Hers's what you get ....

The chrome isn't great and will probably fall off within a month but hey .
A quick trial fit to see if I could use the brackets and keep the spots tight enough to the body ....

Happy with that so I cut down the bracket ....

Drill a couple of 3mm holes behind the grilles using the bracket as a template ....

Fix the bracket...

Screw the grill back on ..

Bolt the spots on . Decide they look to modern with the clear lense so gave them a coat 'French headlight yellow' . I need to cut the paint back a bit more to make them closes to green rather than amber but overall I think they've come out pretty good .

Re: '68 912
They look great Russ, and because they sit a little 'off centre" to the grille unlike the usual spots which are more central it gives them a really nice look (especially with the amber lenses), very sort of 'French rally' look. Great job, I luv em. Nice with the burgundy.
