Almost there John - any reason for putting it back in before refitting the MFI?
And yes, Charlotte's certainly missing the SWB car - separate thread to come on that in due course...

The final throw, well nearly, Bob Watsons next week.
Put the the injector lines on yesterday, but before i did i just wanted to check that they were clean with no partial blockages, the lines had been plated (the wrong colour) previously and during this process they use and acid to clean the part before plating and if left once they are plated they can corrode internally which mine had done. I used a bike brake cable to push through it was very flexible and rigid enough to be fed through the pipe.
Next went on a pair of S spec throttle bodies you can see the different port size between the E spec and S spec bodies. The throttle bodies had been rebuilt with new bushes new rods and set up on a flow bench.
Here they are on the car with the injector line installed and the new plug leads on.
And finally the finished article, Looks good even if I do say so myself.
Last post will be once Bob has set the MFI up on his rolling road.
Regards

Well done John - I'm assuming you've driven it home at this point?
Any initial thoughts or are you keeping your powder dry until Bob's done his stuff?
Looks like a nice job btw

Hi Ian yep its in its own bed for the first time in 4 months or so, I was reasonably gentle with it on the way home, Mike can only set the MFI up with the engine unloaded as he has no dyno so its not perfect, its rich on the bottom rack and has the odd cough and splutter but it clears its self at 3500 to 4000 RPM as it comes onto the top rack and then it pulls quite nicely and very smoothly, I haven’t revved it too hard yet so still more to come but it defiantly feels more eager that it did

Well the next project might just be trying to remember who my missis is, I have spent so much time on my car she feels like a new girl friend . Julie keeps asking, what are you doing in my house! and the kids are hiding behind the curtains every time I come in, the dog hasnt stopped barking at me and the list of house jobs is endless.

thanks for the informative thread. Just wondering if there is a 'pulling the engine apart' thread that proceeds this one, or one that explains your chosen path for parts used ect.

Please excuse the clumsy reply as I am yet to understand how to use the 'quote' feature in posts
Mike, yes I'd like to see those pics and read/learn more about the effects of the S mods incorporated into this engine.
Tim, thanks for that link. I bet you can't wait to complete your engine( well the whole project really) I am looking forward with interest to see what coices you'll make at the next step of your engine build.
Cheers
