Fantastic drive. The early start means no traffic and it was great route down to Goodwood via Petworth. Getting to know the roads now so should be quicker next time!

Was a thoroughly enjoyable morning gents and great to see ya'll as well, the drive down was something else, such fun and what a way to enjoy our cars.

Must remeber to pack some UV protection though next time if the weather's going to be that fine. My head almost blends into the colour of my car now

a few more folicles wouldnt go amiss either

Great to see everyone again. Most fun I've had in my car for a long time. Superb roads, great pace and the sound of eight 911s being driven as intended put a massive smile on my face. Could have done without the sonic boom in the tunnel at Goodwood though

First time I've driven in a 911 convoy. Great Fun, I think my tyres/brakes are nicely scrubbed in now

I'm sure it will be even better when I have the missing 20 or so HP back in my car and I have more faith in it.

Shame about all that italian rubbish cluttering up Goodwood though. Put my name down for the German day in August.

I must say that was one of the best drives I have been on. I know it was imprinted to memory to be recalled with fondness at a future time.  It was just amazing. Mike is a great driver and watching his RS tackle the A roads was a joy. Mike's definitely the leader of the gang, without a doubt

It was great that Will was able to do a mad dash in his 911S from Richmond to us at the services in time. Also great that Andy managed to tag on the end of the convoy as we left the services, just as I had pulled out he tagged onto the end flashing his lights... very cool.

Those roads, that early in the morning were simply beautiful to drive, there were some real 'Ring' moments on the A roads. It was really a BLAST! I am totally convinced that the 911 is the most perfect driving machine ever along this type of undulating, uneven terrain where you have to constantly react to changes in the road surface. Even though my car isn't properly set up it was simply awesome to drive. I loved it.

Highlights were the blast to Petworth, Tanick’s lock up behind Andy. Funny moment of the day is when Barry spotted us roll up en mass to Goodwood and did a Le Mans type run to my car and jumped in, without a word or any indication or warning. We were heading toward the tunnel under the track before we exchanged morning pleasantries. Then the all sound was drowned out by the scream of flat six's. Sorry to Will for the sonic attack in the tunnel. When myself and Darren see a tunnel we can't help ourselves, were delinquents. The more Barry grinned at me the more blips of a throttle I felt compelled to give. Woo hoo… 6,000RPM rocks!

The super car event was great, and exotics are wonderful but Ferrari’s start to get boring after a while though. Although they are amazing machines, until they break or need servicing.

When we left Goodwood it was also another moment of awesome-ness.. I had a really nice tail out slide with judicious opposite lock applied when leaving the venue. The tarmac road is so smooth that it proved perfect for a balanced exit slightly sideways. It seems Will and Darren also gave some action on exit.

I had a fantastic time...

I spent the rest of the day cruising around in the Mustang with my Fiancée, which topped it off as a stunner of a day.

When's the next one... and can I wait that long? I'll think the BEAST will venture out there again sooner rather than later I think.

Yeah, I was surprised how easy it was to get the back out exiting Goodwood. Must be a lot of rubber laid there

Actually I having a rest today as I fear for my personal safety. I have a feeling the BEAST is liable to bite the hand that feeds it with feul on a day like today.

I had better watch my step. Mustang is the only safe (relative) way to travel today and perhaps for the rest of the week.

Oi you lot are giving me a bad name here. In my defence I was merely clearing out the system after that leisurely drive we had down to Goodwood

I hope my full beans run down the slip-road looked good until the the reduction in my momentum Nick

glad it amused you as well, I'll admit I had a naughty schoolboy giggle to myself as well

Steer clear of Wimbeldon tomorrow everyone, especially if your in a 911, Alam's beast will be at it's most
