Btw Andy, resale not important, but I do want everything to be reversible. I suspect there's a fair amount that could be done and still be fully reversible. I do still have a hankering for a pascha interior though. I think that's what Bootsy meant when he said I should make it a bit less butch. Right Bootsy?

Maybe I should drive it first....but then....230hp, lightened, lightweight bumpers, some funky wheels and a psycadelic interior would be pretty good fun...

Very nice Richard. Plenty of VFM to be still had in the G series, and for me they are the archetypal 911. Have fun, like you say, loads of mods can be reversed, as long as you arent flaring, stripping and cageing her. Oo-er, etc.

Ive just picked up an '88 G50 that will be going down hotrod route also.
Ive just done a deal for FG bumpers, long bonnet for IB latch etc etc as may want to go back to std later also
Working on if it bolts off it'll bolt on

I was implying that given your outward appearance and persona that the car in it's original guise is at a juxtaposition with it's new owner - if you 'fem' it up a bit then maybe you'll feel more at home when you're driving around in your underpants feeling the coldness of the leather.

For what it's worth I wouldn't change a thing - I'd just drive it and enjoy it - that interior is lovely and deserves to be kept as is.

Maybe we can butch you up a bit instead of 'femming' the car?
