Re: 930 Backdate
I hate these kind of photos, some people just make it all look like a piece of p*ss when we all know it isn't.

Re: 930 Backdate
So onto the rear arches, I had originally planned to leave the factory turbo rear wings alone but in the end decided I would regret it so I emptied the kids savings accounts and purchased a pair of RSR arches.
First the lower wing needed a repair section

and then clamp on the arch to get the position

and fix in place a little more thoroughly

Before going any further I needed to trial fit the rear bumper, that meant cutting off the Impact Bumper mounts
A few Kgs saved here...

And on with the RSR bumper

But the alignment was not as I had hoped

And with the other side disintegrated I couldn't use it as a data point

Re: 930 Backdate
So a few hours of mocking up and measuring followed before I settled on a new position for the arch.

Followed by tack welding

And then the finished job

So that's three arches done, one to go...

Re: 930 Backdate
Snatched a bit of time over the weekend to do a bit more metal work on my project, this time fitting a front mount oil cooler.

It sits very close to the front panel when mounted and this would stop any air flow through it so an opening needs to be made in the front panel and the air ducted out underneath the car.

Trial fit of cooler and bumper

Ducting made up

And welded into place

Bit of primer to protect it for now.

Another job ticked off the list

Cheers
Jon
