I too had an eye on this tractor but didn't like the way it was being 'chased' and seemingly bidded up. I found the guy selling it difficult to deal with & after I had arranged an appointment to view it on the Saturday he let us down.butzsi wrote:Ok,
For quickness here is the ebay link. Not for the faint hearted!

I can report that today the awful rollover protection bars and the Rasspe sidecutter mower have been removed, new tyres sourced and carefull consideration given to the most economic/sympathetic way forward.
Engine starts easily and seems to run well - better than my Wife's temper after hearing that I had squandered (her?) money yet again.
Time permitting I will post pictures of my previous Junior as I sold(2002), and as I drove last weekend.
Still, aside from this it looks a very complete tractor & still a decent buy at the money. It is also easier than fetching one from the continent which looks to be the only viable otion of getting one at the minute!
Good luck with it!
Gill.

Gill, they do come up here in the UK - I bought mine from an advert on Farmers weekly back in July.

I keep seeing the odd one in Farming publications but I'm usually too late - so frustrating!
I'll drop on one at some point - I really can't be bothered to go to the Continent for one, but I will if needs must - it's just time is at a premium!
There was a Standard for sale in Albi (France) about 4 weeks ago for 1200 Euro. 'Unfortunately' I 'had' to got to Dubai for a week at 1/2 term so missed out on it as I didn't have time to collect it, now it's sold.

Hi Gill,
There were many more Porsche tractors sold in Europe than in the UK, so it does make sense to look there. I think most sellers will understand that it takes time to arrange collection.
You can also try www.shiply.com for an alternative to going over with a trailer.

Gill, 1200 Euros for a standard looks like a good price, pity you couldn't make it.
Have you tried Mobile.de
and German Ebay?
cheers

I keep looking on the European sites to see what is available & it's just a matter of waiting for the right tractor to turn up. The main limiting factor is a tractor being in the right place at the right time when I can actually make time to collect it as I 'only' have school holidays. Hence why it would be handy to find one in the U.K so I could collect it at the weekend.
I saw a 108 Junior at Newark tractor show this weekend which really did me no favours at all - it won best European at the event!!!
I would also like an M.A.N tractor too. I think these are perhaps rarer than the Porsches.
Cheers.
