I agree a smaller rear number plate would be a better solution - do u have a head on photograph showing the front number plate?

Thx

+1 on craigsplates - ordering online was simple, quick, reasonable. With the order I got a thank-you note as well. I know it's corny but worked with me.

Course I made a real hash of putting the numberplate on but when i stood up I realized you couldn't see it anyway so stopped stressing on it
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Absolutely beautiful car ( I've just seen this thread)

I love that detail splitter on the front spoiler. Totally blown away.

In the photos you can see;
The new decals from highgatehouse.co.uk
Sunstrip in matt black from highgatehouse.co.uk
Oil catch tank (silver box at back of engine bay)
Tuthills brakes and 3.2 discs (which are on the right way around and not wonky unlike the first lot)
Tuthills brake bias kitt (does away with the servo)
New rear number plate (25% smaller)

Its also had new torsion bars
Dampers
Sway bars
Turbo tie rods

1st callipers on upside down ?

Are those Tuthills new 6 pot callipers? How do they feel compared to the original 3.2's?

What size torsion bars have you upgraded to? I'm alays keen to hear peoples actual experinces of different set ups :)

I'm down at tuthills on Wednesday getting my car corner weighted and 4 wheel aligned so hopefully they can improve my handling set up.

Inspirational stuff :)

I'd be very interested to know more about the brake bias kit / cost - I assume that's the bias switch under the dash?

Discs were the wrong way round (993 turbo discs are right and left handed its even make R and L on the disks)

Yes they are tuthills 6pots. I had 930 brakes before but never really used them because the disks added some 'interesting' braking characteristics. The set up now feels predictable with lots of modulation but will need a good track trash to judge. haven't tried the bias yet seems good where it is.

I've gone to the 29mm hollow from 25mm solid added with dampers that work and turbo sway bars makes for a total transformation. It grips so well i have to learn to use less steering input

Yes that's the bias dial, cost my vary depending on what brake set up you have. Mine cost £300ish +vat +labour but for none servo car i think its more (involves changing the pedal box)

I'm very pleased with Tuthills only 1.30hr out of London they delivered what they said when they said and it all works first time. The only slight shock was the bill

They couldn't have been more helpful when my car had to be recovered to them.

I'm planning to replace the existing Bremtek calipers with some 930 units on my forthcoming 72t, so I'd be interested to know what 'interesting' braking charteristics actually means? :?

PS - sorry one more - are those Braid Fuchs?

oh and a forgot to mention

I don't know if any of you care about this but on the fibreglass bonnets using the porsche seal makes the bonnet push up in the middle making for very ugly shut lines

Now despite an 'expert' fabricator with 30 years experience telling me it couldn't be done any other way. 3mins on google found me exactly what i needed to get a good shut and keep the water out.

The soft sponge rubber seal is 18mm high and will crush down to a minimum 5mm when trapped.

hi SMTK

lovely looking thing

can I ask if the front splitter was an original RSR detail or one that was suggested by someone else

what kind of difference is it meant to make and is that one made from aluminium

thanks
