We are pleased everyone is home safely (except Ian and Charlotte of course who will still be travelling South). We enjoyed showing you all our adopted part of the world. As always the company was great! Sadly, the photo Sue took at lunch turned out as good as the sparklers on Ian's cake!!!

Morning everyone! 305 miles from Penrith we arrived safely back in the South, still replete following Sue and Mike's excellent hospitality :).

We both had a great time and thanks to you all for your birthday wishes and a great day out.

Cheers
Ian

John,

I think a South Lakes run is a good idea but how are you going to avoid all the tourists and walkers? Its bad enough in the North/West Lakes. Maybe a good idea to wait until the frost has gone but early enough to avoid all the crowds, if this is possible. Pleased you enjoyed your intro to DDK!
