Side repeaters, though, so must be post-'86, and those wheels were on more modern Bristols, so maybe it's actually a Singer-style restomod?

its horrible really . as are all Bristols . Emperors new clothes always springs to mind when I see them

They were amazing cars in terms of esoteric details…but often odd as a complete form….door opening on one of the 400 series …forget which…400…401..405..?…was a lovely simple push button for example….but that one is godawfull……
