I think historic vehicles are exempt from MOT or am I missing something?

In spite of that, getting a 'voluntary' MOT offers potential buyers some sort of assurance about the car's mechanical integrity ...

Saw that 912/6 in the Goodwood car park. Its got a cool stance. Paint looked good. Some of the gaps not so good but at £40k seems value from a smiles per £ perspective.

Another swb car converted to lwb ...

Originally converted in Sweden - it's been for sale for quite a while - including a Car & Classics auction where it failed to meet reserve.

So what about the white one in classic porsche? Was it not the first rhd or does it not count as it was a conversion from lhd at the factory?

The dial/dashboard/dash top of an early RHD 911 is a LHD panel cut in the middle, hands swapped over and gas welded/dressed to become a one piece part. The joins are invisible from the front.
Maybe the car was the first to try these parts out?

Perhaps Thomas can post the pictures from the link?

Finally got round to putting together a load more information.
Please have a read.
911 Evocation - 1967 Porsche 912/6 SWB RSR RHD -
Finding short wheel base RHD models can be quite a challenge, but this particular car, imported in 2014, is a rare gem. What sets it apart is the impressive 2.2 flat 6 engine, which I've had completely rebuilt by my trusted local Porsche specialists. During the upgrade, numerous performance extras were added, including race rods and a vastly improved oil pump. I have detailed photos and invoices documenting the meticulous work that has been done, and since the rebuild, the car has covered an exhilarating 1000 miles.
But the enhancements don't end there. I've replaced the gearbox with a 5-speed version and installed a brand new exhaust system with the correct heat exchangers (the car currently has an electric heater). The custom-built exhaust emits an amazing sound. Additionally, I've fitted new drive shafts, a high torque starter, and other mechanical improvements. The total investment in the car's mechanical components amounts to nearly £30k, ensuring that, apart from regular maintenance, no further expenses will be required.
Inside, you'll find comfortable bucket seats, with the original seats also included in the sale. When I bought the car, it had newer white face dials, but I've since acquired the period-correct green faced dials, and only need to add the oil temperature gauge to complete the ensemble. The dash top and headlining are new additions that add the perfect finishing touch to the interior.
Once you take a seat in the driver's seat, you'll immediately feel the specialness of this car. The rarity of a right-hand drive model like this must be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate the magnificence of these early Porsches. The engine's astonishing power and head-turning sound will leave you in awe. To further enhance the car's performance, I've had a Porsche specialist meticulously align and set up the suspension.
The Porsche proudly rests on its original Fuchs alloys, equipped with excellent tires. It lacks for nothing and is ready to be driven by its new owner. With a multitude of photos and a plethora of invoices, this car is not only visually stunning but also offers a captivating sound that will undoubtedly turn heads wherever it goes. While purists may express their dissent, this is a car meant to be enjoyed and admired.
Considering offers in the region of £56,000 which is far from what it truly deserves, but still a respectable price.
I'd also be open to a part exchange so I still have so still have a little bit of ‘man joy’ in my life naturally with some cash coming my way.
Viewings are more than welcome.

The mechanical upgrades were done by Pie Performance and a local classic car business in Sudbury.
