I've just had an email from Johnny Tipler - seems he's going to make the Northern Event the basis of his planned 911&PW piece on the DDK.
All the more reason to get the polish out and practise looking nonchalant at the wheel!
With no roadtrips of my own planned for a long while, I'm jealous of your jaunt in a couple of weeks... Have fun :P

Eveyone cross your fingers for me. Looks like I've got a major engine problem (see 912 thread) and it's going to be touch and go if I make it to this in an Old Porsche.
Poor Porky's gonna miss his friends roaming across the Dales.

He called me earlier, haven't had a chance to call him back yet - it is indeed great news!

fingers crossed for the Porsche.

If the porsche can't make it I wouldn't worry as there is another DDK coming in a non-porsche

Just off the phone to Johnny and he'll be in tocuh with you James to arrange (via Philip).

I think he'll join us for the majority of the weekend for photo opportunities - should be a great write up and capture the true DDK spirit.

Funnily enough since I spoke to Johnny about 2 weeks ago we seem to keep ending up behind each other in Norwich. He lives in the city centre and as most of you know drives a very nice mint green 964 RS

I think we have a Passat tagging along too ( although that does have a baby seat fitted :) )

Well it will be a MINI Cooper S or an Audi S3 so at least it will be a bit German.

Because everyone will be arriving at different times on the Friday I have not organised for us all to eat 'together' . You can sort out your own eating times etc when you get there.

Remember dinner is included in the room price 8)

Martin, if you bring some bin bags and leave after me, perhaps you would be good enough to collect the bits that fall off the T.R. on the way up? (Just a thought, what with all of that space and all  ).
