I nearly went but opted to stay home given how cold it is out in the open. That's a great looking Singer and makes a nice change in silver! Please keep the pics coming.

PS - Did you see that rather nice RHD Tangerine 2.7 RS for sale ........ would complete the set very nicely!

I didn't manage any longer and only the one pic today as my hands were too cold to take any more!

Loads of empty display areas around the technical site again which is a shame, but the TWR display in the hangar was excellent with XJR9s, 14, 15s, XJ220s (road and race) and BTCC Volvo 850 amongst many others. Group B display outside Station Armoury was very good too with Citroen BX 4TC, 205 T16 E2, RS200 and Ex-Jimmy McRae 6R4.

Sure there'll be plenty of coverage on social media & YT...

Was a great show that was, lots of choice and very cool cars to see

Cold grey weather at Bicester, where it took a lot to shine. The TWR cars in hangar 113 were presented well though, lit and placed thoughtfully with space around them and with the advantage of being in from the cold.





Elsewhere it was difficult to work up quite as much enthusiasm for the wide open spaces and (compared to normal) sporadic show cars. (I’m guilty here of not taking my balloted car, but 5 hrs driving on salt drenched roads was resistible so the less exotic Saab turbo did the honours).









So, things that stirred the soul a bit. The beast of a rally prepped Riley outside the Hero building. A fun tricked up little 924, a lonely Austin 7, that Fiat Sportscar looking chunky and a Ferrari in a workshop (real or not).




















Mrs G hadn’t seen the new Morgan in the flesh before, and it didn’t do it for her. I told her to give it time. And by all accounts it’s good, but expensive.




She liked the Olly Bryant 2 litre cup car though. Oh my god wouldn’t you just like to drive that round Goodwood.





2 more things I enjoy watching. YouTubers, aspirant and established, working earnestly at their craft, and as usual, dogs and their owners. And something that still surprises me, and is charming, the number of people who still stop and wait as you line up a shot on a car

Yes I saw that article Ian - Evo is my favourite mag and ECOTY is always a great read over Christmas. I’ll point Mrs G in its direction, but I fear she’s firmly in Andy’s camp. For some reason I quite like it, and I certainly applaud Morgan (and Alpine) soldiering on with strength in this present environment (as we no doubt all do).

Well thanks to Clive, I was able to go to Scramble yesterday. It was a bit chilly yes, but that was to be expected and double socks were worn which did a fine job. Thankfully it stayed dry all the time I was there though, which was a relief and quite surprising considering the bleak forecast that my phone had predicted. The main reason I wanted to attend was to give my new-to-me '79 928 a run out, and meet up with the previous owner as he'd found another folder of paperwork for the car since I picked it up and he was going to be there. I'm pleased to report that the 928 behaved impeccably on the 220-mile round trip, and the folder included a couple of surprises as well - including a laminated certificate from the car placing 2nd in the concours at a 928 event in Germany 2003, and a print of a watercolour painting of it!

First scramble I have missed in ages, looks like it was good!

However as a note to all DDK’ers… tickets for April Scrambke are now on sale. They can sell out within a day sometimes so be quick!!!

I thought the same from the early videos Andy but the one on the Evo multi-test looked pretty good to my eyes. Maybe familiarity breeds acceptance….
