Don’t count your chickens, you could end up with one like my dad did - can’t even work a paintbrush
I completely agree with the sentiment of keeping petrol cars for fun rides - I have a feeling in another 50yrs I’ll be like will smith in I-robot.. still riding a stinky mv f4 and wearing air Jordan’s while everyone else is whizzing about in flying electric pods
Of course I’ll be fat, 89yr old and probably still whiter than a Scottish albino..

i bought my T5 partly or even mostly because its a thing of great beauty....electric doesn't affect that....and, if it means keeping my 356 on the road for more journeys after the petrol police have confiscated my juice, that's gotta be good

The engine is the heart and soul. Imagine going to Le Mans Classic and not hearing a 917 at full chat down the Mulsanne. Imagine not hearing a 911S come on cam as the tacho hits 4000rpm. I can't, and don't want to.

Well done Gus. I reckon in 20 years time people will have done this more and more.

I just don't want to see this shite, I hope I'm not around when these electric pods are proliferating the roads. I'm keeping the spare Ford V8 from my Cobra on a stand in the garage so I can fire it up on open headers every once in a while just to hear what a real motor sounds like.

You genuinely only bought it because of the tax implications though. If you could have had a wonderful petrol or even diesel engine for the same you would of.....

That looks like an expensive way to de-value a 356!
