Another recommendation here for PRS.

I'm rebuilding my engine (again) at the moment to solve the oil burning issue. On removing the heads, I discovered that I have a SPG roller big end crank in there, and it is dimensionally different from a normal crank. I decided that before ordering a new piston and cylinder kit, I needed some advice from someone who properly knows what they are talking about with Porsche pushrod engines. I didn't know if I needed a 22° piston kit or a 30° one as my heads had seen work, or if the piston skirt would clear the crank webs properly.

It was worth a 400+ mile round trip on Friday to discover whether or not the kit of 50 year old or more parts I had could be assembled into something viable, because although any problems can be solved with time and money, the real art is correctly assessing where you choose to stop. Good advice is always the most valuable thing of all. The tea was nice too.

PRS sorted my transmission noise and now I'm buying all the bits off them for my 1720cc SC engine. They're a lovely bunch, unbelievably kind, patient and helpful.
