The 'S' models were top of the heap for Porsche road cars from 67-72. They were the most powerful and fastest. In 1973 this crown was taken by the limited production run 2.7RS ( originally was going to be a 2.7S ). This lead to 1974, the top of the range was labelled the Carrera and the lowly bottom of the range gained the 'S' badge

1967 2.0S
1968 2.0S
1970 2.2S
1971 2.2S
1972 2.4S
1973 2.4S

Bottom of the range was the plain 150 bhp 911, then the 175 bhp 911S
