Just a few suggestions That I've ate at that have been good slightly less north.

Mmmm
The other pub I had in mind looks to have been taken over and some reviews weren't brilliant.
So keep hunting.

Forget that mail, The George and dragon don't serve food on a Tuesday evening.

Somewhere totally different but probably the not best food haunt is Squires Milk Bar ( Sherburn in Helmut).
Been going to ask them if they fancied putting on a Porsche night similar to what Ace Cafe do.
Like the Ace Cafe but better with loads more room and up north but not as well marketed.
Mainly a bikers haunt, you can't move on a Wednesday for bikes but different car parks for cars, Tuesdays is one of there quite nights.
If you're into bikes you'll know the place.

If we're looking for Gastro - pub food , then I wouldn't say it's suitable but if Pies, pasties, chips and veg is of interest then its ok.
Always gets some interesting stuff through the gates, 2 wheels and 4 wheels.

Only throwing a few suggestions about.

Steady on there Mike, early Days yet, this is a Northern outing and it needs to be discussed properly and at length.

Normally James just tells us what's happening but this new democratic approach could take anything up to 10 pages.

The Masons at Hopperton ? I wonder whose suggestion that was.

Right .... How about this place:

Miller and carter at garforth ?

I've never been ( in fact don think I've ever been to garforth before ) but reviews look great and it appears to have a massive car park. Specialises in steaks etc

It also serves veggi stuff for Jason in case he comes :)

I've not booked it yet so assume it's got space
