I've just ha a look on the maps app only about 50 miles from me so I'll probably go too. Is there infield parking for showing your car? Or do you just get lumped in the public/general car park?

There is an indoor 'show and shine' area and large outdoor parking too.

Im not sure if they have specific parking areas by the main building though? Although i went to the Camper show last year and ended up parking my 911 next to 2 speedsters!!

Im with Adam on the engine size! Ive only got a 1600 twin carb with GT box & its plenty ,I like speed in a new car thats built for it but I think you would have to go for a new type chassis with upgrade brakes ext & not a beetle if U want speed.Adam Im not to far from u we will have to meet up in cars when weather gets better

Im not looking at big power just around 150 bhp and im having independant suspension and disc brakes all round so it should be ok for that?

Hi Guys
Was thinking of maybe driving down to this show from Glasgow in the Boxster on the Saturday night and staying over does anyone know of reasonable accommodation near the event.And to meet up with fellow DDK members Or just leave dead early on Sunday morning and drive down see the show and drive back not sure if that is too far for an all day out trip any suggestions.

Theres a holiday inn express just off junc 13 of the M6 which is about a 5ish min drive away from the showground.

I think it is just a one day show Sunday 20th February I am looking into getting down there not a definite at present but will keep you posted Are you all intending taking your speedsters along as if I do come will have to be in the Boxster I am afraid

Stanford Hall VW Show, Tatton Park VWNW - I'd probably drive from Glasgow to either of them two shows.... DUBFREEZE? Have you been before / spoken to anyone that has been before? Not trying to put you off at all, but i'd have a word with a few people that have been before that you trust and see if it's worth that drive before making your mind up. I live close to it and am thinking thrice whether to get out of bed for it or not.

No i have never been before ,but from what you are saying it is not worth the bother I value your honesty.To be honest the reason for thinking about it is that I wanted to meet fellow speedster owners and have a look at there cars ,but it seems that the show is only VW orientated It would be a long way for not much action and cost about £150 on fuel + BB
I may well look at the other shows which seem a lot bigger the problem is up here in Glasgow there are not many owners and this type of show to attend .Cheers
