Dan

More photos please. Is the entire car red now or orange ?

Have you retained the door cards / trim or gone with an alternative racey option ?

Has the engine been high butterflied yet ?

I like the electric kill buttons outside - I need those for the Alfa.

Good on you for taking a solid base car and moving it on to what you want - that is what cars are for.

I must blag a passenger spin one day.

Ian

abm ... yes they are waterproof buttons for fire and cut off...seemed a neat solution

phil ... not sure the weight yet

ian ... all tangerine yes, no white or sepia left  doors still trimmed in basketweave w/ glass windows

jason ... i know what you mean but when i look at some of the shell and rust repairs people undertake I amazed and in awe...of the craftsmanship and the bill ! at least with this car I knew it was solid and as per Ant's advert, the 2.7 RS spec engine would always have a good residual value. sometimes think i should have just waited till the right car came along though. eg. Milou's ST

more photos as per requests. anyone coming on the classic day at Silverstone will have the opportunity to see how badly I drive it

As I said at on the day, your car looks great on those wheels Dan, they really look really purposeful and vintage. 8-)

Don't do it for me. Look mickey mouse compared to the fuchs :?

Maybe it's the colour? All black may have been better, but I still say fuchs leave them standing...

I see a certain M Walker has just taken delivery of a set... so expect these wheels to go viral :)

The wheels give the car a completely different look - nice to have both to chop and change. Looks more period for some reason with the Gp4 wheels although could be the location and image filter that's doing that!

I am slowly moving towards FIA spec, mainly because at some stage I want to race it, and partly because I think a car like this having papers helps its value

its a funny one as some of the changes are retrograde in nature from a performance point of view

no photos yet but my 3 litre mfi engine is built and will be swapped in over the summer. Sticking with low butterfly for now, phase 2 will be slide throttle. Bilstein RSR dampers are on. And the brakes are ready to be fitted as well (plus modified rear arms).

I never thought I'd use the phrase "Brake Porn" but clean and box fresh they have a sculptural slightly sexy quality...i also never realised the 930 type brakes were made by Brembo!

all parts removed will be transplanted to the hotrod

They are gorgeous 8).....this is the plan for the Mongrel.

Looking forward to seeing how these get fitted as I understand some modification is required, rear fins shaved(?) etc....please post full details :)

Very cool car Dan, you're doing a great job.
