South West London (et al) Classic Le Mans meet and convoy

Post by Viv_Surby »

Okay folks - we have planned the meeting and subsequent convoy drive down the A3 to Portsmouth.

The plan is to meet at The Fairmile, Cobham, Surrey:

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... r3=&addr1=

With a view to a 19:30 departure to head to Portsmouth. The Fairmile is only 1 junction (5 mins) from the M25 on the A3 back into London and has loads of parking outside the front. It has a restaurant serving 'pub' styleee food, so if you plan to eat - arrive in time as we will head off at 19:30. Folks from last night - slightly later than discussed, but I thought it would give folks time to join us if working and travelling.

Peter's going to lend some walkie talkies so the group can stay in touch 8)

Hopefully we'll have a great convoy down!

I might be able to make this, providing my electrical gremlin has been banished.

Viv,

We (me and Barry + pace notes) are hoping to join you guys on the A3 as you head south.
Probably be sitting on an overpass somewhere south of Guildford.
Give us a wave when you go by and we'll tag on the back.

Assuming that I'm not still working on my car at 7.30 next Wednesday evening ( ) I'll aim to join you - along with friend Mark (& his wife Angela) in his 911 Turbo.

Well usually I'm Mandy at the weekends, but Thelma would make a nice change: are you O.K. with Louise? :P
