Any suggestions in sourcing a 1/2” diameter crank sensor. My Clewett sensor holder (being American and awkward) is too thin to be drilled out to take the usual 14mm sensors (Zetec, etc). Not too keen on spending £100-150 for an M12 VR sensor from Farnell, etc
So, before I start cutting the end off and fabricating my own holder, I either need a 1/2” diameter sensor, or a bracket to hold a Zetec sensor.

Re: 1/2” crank trigger sensor
VR sensor or hall sensor?
I use an M12 threaded ZF gear sensor (hall type).
Part number GS100502
About £40-50 part.

You want to use “falling edge” triggering. Also be careful about the wiring as the colour coding isn’t intuitive (I assumed brown was earth! & fried one). The data sheet is available from the link above
