Selling 2.7 engine on Carbs

Post by Jim Collins »

Hi Guys,
Relatively new to this group.
I want to know the best way to list some parts I have for sale.
Parts include 2.7 motor on carbs complete with exhaust and MSD ignition and fuel pump. Ready to run.
I also have complete induction from 964 motor and distributor from the same.
Parts are for sale due to health issue and are redundant having converted my Beetle to 964 on Jenvey throttle bodies and OMEX distributorless igniton.
Need to raise cash but want the fairest deal.

Hi Jim!

I'm guessing it's Jim with the mad red Beetle from Shelsley Walsh etc?
It's going to be much more of a handful with a modified 964 in the back.
We hope to be at Shelsley next month - see you there???

Cheers!

It sure is Johnathon!! Don't know if it should be the Mad Jim with the Red Beetle!!
The Bug has done the Hill with the 3.6 LTR. 94 across the line but still 84 into bottom S. Bottle problem, not car problem.
Will certainly be paying a visit to Shelsley Walsh this year but not with the bug.
Hope to see you soon!

I was going to say that, but didn’t want to start throwing insults if it wasn’t you!

Hi Johnathon, do you know the best way and where to post items for sale on this site?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Jim, I was trying to PM you, but you need to talk a little more (what a bloody stupid thing to say to you, of all people! We’ll never shut you up now!)
Yes, talk to Bootsy or I and we’ll get you sorted.
Cheers

So....
There is a Bug with a 2.8 in my class I see for next Shelsley!
It is no other than Wayne Penrose and the VW looks out of this world!

Defo 3rd in class for me...

Be good to see you soon Jim.

He’s at Harewood this weekend, should be good to watch if we have time
