Ok we’re doing well haha!

I’ll create a post separate to this later to get some interest up, but didn’t want to put proper details up til have got things finalised.

Frank of Boxengasse has msg’d me to say he’s happy to support too which is great to have them on board with the idea :)

If you haven’t already then please do get yourself a ticket to Megaphonics at

I’m of the thinking that we go for it with C&M without the reserved parking but will speak with Phil again and ask that they at least try to direct cars accordingly as best as possible.

I haven’t had chance to try any of the hotels in the area yet, there’s one in the next village from me (Salford Hall hotel, Abbott’s Salford) which may be good, lovely hotel and good food but I say this one, as I am mostly conscious of good and secure parking so not somewhere to built up that will have unscrupulous Saturday night people out and about near cars, especially if quite a few do come along.

If anyone has any suggestions for hotels that may be suitable to try please let me know.

Sorry guys, 10/11 August is one of the biggest events in the British Hillclimb Championship at Shelsley Walsh.
We'll be there, if anyone is looking for something different to do on Sunday 11th. :)
Cheers

Haha! I may struggle to keep up with you all on the run out if I’m the only slow Porsche there! :)

I’ll write a post up, let’s get some encouragement going

Not sure what the routes are like but 40 miles to Shelsley Walsh from C&M, see some action SAT PM…..just a thought!

I like that idea, could work well although additional costing of tickets may be prohibitive for some and not all may wish to do it.

I’ve posted up a new thread to try and keep this one as an ideas and planning and the new to drum up interest and get idea of numbers. Please all comment on there as well just to help with numbers. Cheers

Ignatzcatz wrote: Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:28 pm Following the initial enquiry about having such an event, it is quite overwhelming to see such enthusiasm and some firm progress. I must apologise for not stepping up to offer my organisational 5 cents worth but I find myself on the committee of a local classic car club which makes life rather busy being at the start of the season. Excuses, excuses, and here is another one which relates to the 356 International meeting in Portugal, I shall be attending this one, it's in just over a month and my little car has yet to receive an engine and a gearbox. This shouldn't be too much of a problem although the engine is yet to be built, but it does tend to keep the mind focused on one thing.
So please guys keep the DDK Nationals rolling and hopefully, I can be part of the team when my world is somewhat more stable.
No worries at all, however as the one who initiated all this, I hope you get your name down to attend

If something were to happen in Ireland I would be up for it. Could also provide a way point/accomodation in Donegal if it is a smaller number of people..

I know some good roads around loch Erne/ Fermanagh/Sligo way as well.
