What you do is fantastic, like the air con installation, where everyone thinks it is just a straight bolt in conversion, you have proved otherwise. so far your thread has 2,248 Replies and 154,446 views, so a LOT of people are looking at what you do.
I tend to always look at the the ‘unread posts’ on the drop down menu, to keep abreast of all the new posts, which I have not clicked on. I tend not to post on threads unless it is something I can help with, or just bookmark them for future reference when I need to do something similar.
Like yourself, people put a lot of effort into the work they do, fully document and photograph it for the benefit of others, which is what this forum is all about. Without such updates and work done, we would all be a bit lost doing some jobs.Especially the difficult bits and how to overcome them.
It is like Graham said, look at the stats, as above. Sometimes people wait for the end result of a job as well, before posting anything on a thread.
Keep it up, I am sure others will be along with similar remarks about your thread here, we DO look at them with avid interest, even if we do not always post a reply on it.
Keep it up!
Ian

+1 Sladey. We are here and following with interest. I keep flip flopping between aircon and ITBs - so I’m keen to see how complex it actually is to fit!

I was going to reply to say that I’ve fitted a few of these kits and didn’t have half the problems you seem to have encountered but didn’t think that would be helpful so kept quiet, but you’ve asked for it now

I think part of the issue for me is that it’s a backdate and no room under the front wing. The other thing is that I’m correcting things that weren’t worth correcting before.DustyM wrote:I was going to reply to say that I’ve fitted a few of these kits and didn’t have half the problems you seem to have encountered but didn’t think that would be helpful so kept quiet, but you’ve asked for it now

This is why the "Like" plugin for the forum is such a good feature.sladey wrote:Well no one seems to be interested any more (thanks Gary). I suppose things change and people aren’t so interested in this stuff any more - we’re all more used to watching videos. No problem it’ll save me wasting time taking photos and writing it up.
I’ll stick a post on here when it’s finished.

Sorry to say it, but after a while photos of the shadowy innermost nooks of your car can become a bit samey.
Maybe intersperse with some pics of your other interests and hobbies to brighten up the thread a bit?

I’m the weedy guy in the hi-tops back right. You’re the bemuscled short-shorts and ankle-warmer fella. Obviously.

None of these things are worth doing if there isn't a bit of a 'tease' somewhere along the line.
Sometimes the teasing issue goes on a bit, I can think of a few in my garage over the many years, but getting over them is the Big Prize.
But, as you say, "get on with it" as we want to see if it is all worth it.
Are you planning a hot country road trip?
