Location of Fog Lights Relay and associated wiring

Post by Green912 »

Hi everyone

I am currently rewiring my 1967 912 main loom as the original wiring has been baked and I have concerns that I can see that the insulation has melted and disappeared in a few places. Many of the ends of the connectors have also badly corroded and broken. After this I will move onto replacing the front lighting wiring.

I also intend to wire up the fog lights that I fitted some time ago but, the car did not have the associated additional loom.

My question is can some advise where the relay for the fog lights was originally fitted to a 1967 912 or 1967 911 as the looms are identical. If anyone has an original fog light relay I would be also be interested in purchasing or do you know where I can buy one. I believe they are the yellow ones marked W-595/A

Please can you send me some photos of the relay location if possible.

Many thanks in advance.
