Track was dry but cold and a bit greasy. Took it pretty steady at the chicane but had a tiny bit of fun onto the straight. Got into third down there.

Can’t quite believe how more responsive the car feels after the work. Pulls like a train and sounds amazing. A case of lots of small things not being bob on.

Great to hear you're managing to find the time and the places this time of year to stretch the car's legs a little, and the merits of a good tune starting to pay-off. Bet you can't wait for temps to rise a little and those tyres to start getting proper sticky. Enjoy.

Replaced the rear dampers on my 912. Looks like the old ones should have been replaced years ago, oh well. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I can go out for a spin to feel the difference!

I took the cover off to do some work on the car and someone had left an unwanted Christmas present. ImageImage

I ordered some new windscreen wipers for the 356. Unfortunately, they aren't correct for my car. Wrong fitting. I've transferred the rubber across to the old one. I need to save up money for the 914!Image

Had an embarrassing spin on some wet leaves .

Full 360! but thankfully slow enough to be able to aim for the banking rather than down into the ditch....Thought I had got away with the only dent being to the pride, but when I got home I noticed some oil under the front cooler. The bumper support had flexed against the cooler line just enough to stress it and cause the leak. I thought it would be a simple case of "just" removing the flexible hose and getting a new ferrule clamped on, but Porsche in their wisdom decided that the whole hardline needs to be removed  In doing this I found that the thermostat support bushing had perished, so a worthwhile task to remount it.

I dropped the oil line off at the local hydraulic hose shop for repair, will pick up and re-assemble next week...

Made some mudflaps though, using all original screw holes etc :)

Good stuff - could have been a lot worse.

Everyone needs a 360 once in a while

Not actually me, but Jim Calvert at Stateside. Stripped off heads, barrels, pistons and rods ready to change to longer rods, lighter stroker pistons and new cylinders.

Looks a major upgrade?
A lot of those parts are nearly new I think, but always onward to go faster! :)

Mechanically quieter, slight shift in torque band, freer revving. Not major changes in reality but wanted to check engine after last season, so taking the opportunity to make some changes/improvements. Can’t leave anything alone!

I at least started it and got it up to temperature today. Roads are far too nasty around here for a run though Image
