1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
Went to look at this yesterday. Not for me as i was hoping it was misidentified as Tangerine. It’s Gulf Orange. Non matching but solid with all its MFI bits. Nice people to deal with. I know a few on here we’re looking for MFI cars.

Re: 1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
The paint code on the doorjamb 018 is Tangerine.
Re: 1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
Yep and the COA says Albert blue. Take 5 photos of an orange car and it will look 5 different colours. Having stood by it I’m pretty sure it’s gulf orange and not tangerine.
Re: 1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
Why on earth would it have a different paint code in the door jam to the coa?
Does the vin plate differ also???

Coincidence!
I was going to post about this car as may go and look at it, I’m new to the older cars as per my intro post and was confused by the instrumentation which looked sparse - is this because it’s a factory 4 speed?
Also confused re COA/paint code - did you see the underside? Is the repaint complete or just the visible bits?
Like a few on here I’m looking for a pre-‘74 T, E or S
Many thanks,
Kevin

The two 'basic' gauges on the lhs were standard on the T models ...

Ah, thanks - the ones I’ve seen/driven thus far must have had the upgraded instrumentation…..

I don’t know the car but it’d be on my list to view. Bet it goes well.

Re: 1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
Thanks for the heads up - It looks like a great car but it’s the one colour I really can’t get on with altho’ it’s a proper “period” shade of course…..

And that’s a great one - came via Mike (210bhp) and was known as the ‘Mint T’

Ah - I hadn’t twigged it’s that one.
Anyone want to buy a 964?

The idea of his 'n' hers 964s appeals...
Re: 1972 911 T MFI Gulf Orange
I’ve had 5 so I’d better keep looking for a pre’74 which I haven’t owned yet
