Rear shock absorber removal

Post by Hugo 356 »

In the absence of P53 radius arm jack, is it safe to raise the swing arm using a floor jack (car on axle stands) to facilitate shock absorber removal? If not what do you use?

Thanks in advance

I removed my rear shocks recently and just used the jack to take the weight of the arm. It worked fine and was completely stable/ safe
