Re: Group 4 wheels 7R. Anyone have them?
So back from a little work trip, spacers are here for the first experiment…
15mm spacer, original 6” wheel, 195 tyre, sat on blocks at ride height… all a bit marginal for arch lip clearance.
An extra inch on the inside of the rim will pull the tyre 1/2” in, so it should work, but it maybe an expensive punt!
Decision time…

So… These 7R wheels aren’t actually available so it’s all a bit of a mute point
Difficulties getting the petal finish, which I guess is understandable as they aren’t forged.

Sladey - I was going to call you a grammar/language Nazi but given recent events thought better of it

Gary,
I had some flat 6s which were modified with the extra inch on the inside to a 7R which I bought of Andy Lightweight a few years ago. I sold them to my mate James McBlane and we fitted them to his 1972 911 with 15mm spacers - he runs 205s and the clearance is tight but nothing rubs. I don't have any pics but I think you may follow him on Instagram - he's got a viper green oil door car.
Ralph.

Yeah - that's his car.
The only mod that we had to do was clearance the back of the rim slightly where it fowled on the nuts which held the 15mm spacer onto the hub.

I have original deep six on the front with a inner tube and Group 4 7R on the rear with a spacer. They've been on several years now. Always been happy with the look and the stance Gary.
