Re: Non-Porsche Hot Rod picture of the day
Yes, about right.
I won Best of Show iirc, a huge gold plastic award about a yard tall!
I have a pic of me and the car and the award, but far too embarrassed to put it on here!
I was a skinny thing then, just getting to 10 stone, looking like a human Dip-Stick...
We change over time.
Lots of Y Types appeared then all inspired by John Wilkinson's red version I think.
Clive Prew bought John's red Y and it was crashed into while parked.
John's B fared better in general.
I woke-up a lot of people on the NSRA forum a few years ago about my car which was very interesting.

Re: Non-Porsche Hot Rod picture of the day
Here’s the 1934 5 window coup low boy. It’s a genuine early fifties Hotrod that featured in the magazines of the day. It was one of the first to get a Hemi and so amongst the fastest. It’s being restored to original but built properly so that it’s safe. Most hot rods and customs are of the time we’re built by amateurs with limited skills.
His ‘41 business Coup will be on the lawn for the Cartier Style et Lux at Goodwood, so helping his Hotrod business. R-R owners are getting very old now.
