Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Maybe it is easier to see it in a different colour as it does not seem like yours anymore?
Certainly I felt that when my old purple car became blue.
It does look nice though.

Is he going to use it or will it be a 'show' car Mike ?
It does look very nice in its Factory colour but - it spent the vast majority of its life black (from very early on) ...

Part of a collection now Andy. Doubt it will get used as it should but I’ve really no idea. These are just pictures picked up from social media so it’s likely destined to be a ‘show car’ from what I can see.
And now in its natural habitat

Mike

You should know it’s not Sam, it’s not raining.
Strictly you should have used Ayr Toon Cenna. as in the local dialect which makes the play on words mair plausible an a’ that man.

Mike

Re: Your Porsche pic of the day......
Why did you sell it?
It’s a long story Ian and I agonised over the various options for years especially the return to chartreuse. I realised that if it were restored back to its original colour I wouldn’t dare use it in the way I did for the previous 17 years considering the costs involved to do it right and I certainly didn’t want a garage queen. In the end I decided I had a wonderful relationship with the RS and fulfilled all the driving enjoyment I had dreamt of when I bought it including that fantastic trip back to Sicily where it was sold new. I’m thinking I might be right as it is unlikely to be back on its home turf ever again and may just sit in a warm museum garage collection. I drove the RS over 50000 kilometres which was pretty good I think for a classic and I’m happy with that. I feel very lucky to have had the experience and have some great memories.
