I find moaning makes me feel like a real builder rather than an office worker playing at it.

The layout is slightly changed from the pic, we’re dropping down 600mm right across but not putting a roof over the camper. The 600 drop gives enough height inside for a decent car lift (or 2) - 3200 to the eaves and 4800 to the apex of the roof.

At the very other end of the scale, my new mega lights in and they feel TOO MUCH, but I'll get used to them.

Can see what I'm doing now. 8)

Morning,

So not a full garage shot, but a weekend project and new addition. I learned during the last build that huge amounts of time is wasted searching for nuts, bolts, washers, electrical connectors, that small item you know you have but could be anywhere. Determined to avoid this on my next build I bought 10 storage boxes from Lidl and some plywood and re-purposed some wheels and made a great storage bin. Took a whole weekend to sort and file 6 boxes so far. Plan to increase stock holding of nuts & bolts over the next few weeks. Also need to find some sort of labels

What a fantastic idea. I use the same storage boxes, but usually have to shuffle them to get to the right one.

Very nice! I'm looking at doing something similar, can I ask who built/supplied it? Are you happy with it? Presumably it's within the 2.5m height regs etc?

Cheers

.....thanks, height is 2.5M and overall just under 30 square metres to avoid the need for planning. I sketched an outline and my brother, who designs and builds, came up with a plan around that and constructed it. Only required six upright steels and one steel above the front bi-folds. Quite simple and built to a high standard......unfortunately the cars won't really reside there but you should never miss a photo op! :?

Cheers,
