I have a 1971 Karmann Ghia cab that I'm slowly restoring.
Currently I'm trying to sort out a steering wheel for it and wondered if the early 911 wheel will fit.
Does anyone know if the Porsche wheel will fit directly onto the Ghia?
Thanks
Antony

Re: Porsche to VW question
Hi, I don't believe they do, Porsche spline is larger in diameter. I also have a Karmann Ghia and Porsche 912.

Re: Porsche to VW question
A 914/4 wheel should (possibly) fit as the column is from a late-model VW.
Re: Porsche to VW question
Thanks for the replies.
From a little further research you're both spot on. The later post 73 VWs used a 18mm diameter fine spline column which was also used in several Porsches. As mine is pre 73 they won't fit.
