Mk1 Boxster to RSK Spyder replica

Post by Ben Nichols 1979 »

Hi All

I have come across from the 914 forum. I have always wanted to cut up a decent mk1 Boxster (2.5 would be adequate!) and use the chassis, running gear etc for a 718 spyder - does anyone think its even possible?

It would go like stink!!

Yes it would be possible (its been done) but as it's a monocoque design, don't forget you'd need to build it to the IVA rule book and submit the finished result for testing.

I reckon you should give it a go.

What’s the worst that could happen?

It couldn’t possibly look as grim as this:
