Paint Stripping Car, what was the colour of original Primer

Post by leedurrant73 »

Hello.

Does anyone know what Colour I should look for in regards to the primer under the light ivory paint on an early LWB 69t?

Maybe there more than one colour for primers ?
Appreciate your help

Yes, more than one color was used as primer. My signal yellow car used white as a primer. Not sure what Porsche would have used as primer for light ivory. If the car has been repainted a different color at some point, and the car was not first stripped to metal for the repaint, simply sand down to the original paint and see what color is underneath.
