i owned this car for a few years i had it sandblasted, and painted in the red oxide, its in these photos ,i might have a few photos,of it in original paint,but not in digital format,i will have to scan what i have if i can find them, or send them to you if interested alex

Hello Alex. I am the new owner of 515 JOU [chassis 51008] . I came by it through the guys at Ringwood [David Clark in particular] and trailed it back to Nottingham.
I have made a start on the bodyshell and will put up some pics. when [if!] I find out how. There is some serious corrosion in the lower regions and much distortion. I had to pull the front round as expected but also pull outwards the R.H. a-post. The screen aperture has been a challenge but I have it now. I have another unbent pre-A in the workshop from which I took out the glass and made 2 aluminium templates for each end of the screen. New door skins from Dansk are well formed and I hope will be the basis for the rest of the work.
Can you remember when you had the car in Ringwood? Do you know anything about the gearbox that came in the car, it was mounted on ali. blocks [a race tweak I think] so might have been in the car in period?
