....on to more serious matters....

This week I've been racked with guilt.....mad busy at work, miles behind with service preps, in the middle of a premises move and I've dumped a project on the workshop that's been a bitch to come apart! :(

A booking with Cleaning Consultants and not wanting to let Barry down has meant I've had no choice....at least we're nearly there now although seriously under preparred and the car will have to go without the removal of underseal.....

Image

...on the plus side the car is incredibly solid in most areas.....rear shelf and rear seats pans....

Image

Image

Image

...inner rear wings....

Image

Image

...lower screen corners....

Image

Image

Image

....floor looks amazingly original and largely dent free.....

Image

....sills look original.....

Image

....and I don't think the car has ever been apart, it looks largely untouched with original glass and K-bolts etc and some nice original features......

.....all pretty academic really consider I'm going to bastardize the hell out of it! :)

...of course the car still has a bit of rust to contend with but nothing too serious...

Image

Image

....and the footwell seems to have been submerged in water at some point! :? .....

Image

....hoping this looks worse than it is, the outside certainly appears solid with plenty of shiny metal......but of course we won't know for sure until the car is blasted......

I appreciate this thread won't get interesting until Barry starts grafting on sexy flares and I buy some juicy parts so will keep posts to minimum until then :thumbright:

You will get the shape once you cut away the sunroof cartridge, it's incredibly flexible. You'll be able to template from one of your other cars.

That's interesting Jon, the sunroof cars seem to have a flatter roof to my eye with more of a curve to the front of the non-sunroof cars which I thought would have been governed by the a-posts. Ultimately I'll make a template and seek Barry's advice to determine if I can live with any varience.

Will be a shame to cut the roof off with such perfect gutter lines but then even if I do Barry will make them perfect again anyway. :)
